A key benefit of having core words on an AAC system is that they apply to any situation, in any location, with any communication partners. This presentation will discuss teaching strategies to promote the use of core vocabulary throughout the day. Strategies presented can be applied to a variety of communication abilities and devices. Participant will have the opportunity to create core communication boards/materials to aid in teaching their students.
