Governor Bobby Jindal Announces Appointments to the Capital Area Human Services District Board

BATON ROUGE- Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced appointments to the Capital Area Human Services District Board.

The Capital Area Human Service District Board serves to operate and manage community-based programs and services relative to public health, mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse services for the parishes of Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.

According to statute, the board is comprised of 17 gubernatorial appointments, subject to senate confirmation. Two members are appointed from each of the following parishes; Ascension, East Feliciana, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana. Five members are appointed from East Baton Rouge Parish. Appointees are selected from nominations submitted by the governing authority of each parish, except in Ascension Parish where the parish president will submit the nominations.

Appointments to the Capital Area Human Services District Board:

Amy Betts, of St. Francisville, is the CEO of Bettlam Global Solutions.  Betts will be reappointed to serve as a representative of West Feliciana Parish nominated by the governing authority of West Feliciana Parish, as required by statute. 

Andree Greenleaf, of Ventress, is a retired attorney and educator.   Greenleaf will be appointed to serve as a representative of Pointe Coupee Parish nominated by the governing authority of Pointe Coupee Parish, as required by statute. 

Angela Major, of Ventress, is a retired special education teacher and is a member of the Arts Council of Pointe Coupee.  Major will be appointed to serve as a representative of Pointe Coupee Parish nominated by the governing authority of Pointe Coupee Parish, as required by statute. 

Sandi Record, of St. Francisville, is a social work consultant for the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services and a consultant for the Drug Court Program Office for the Louisiana Supreme Court.  Record will be reappointed to serve as a representative of West Feliciana Parish nominated by the governing authority of West Feliciana Parish, as required by statute.
