Governor Bobby Jindal Announces the Appointment of Terrence Ginn to the Louisiana Commission on Human Rights

BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of Terrence Ginn to the Louisiana Commission on Human Rights.

The Louisiana Commission on Human Rights strives to safeguard individuals from discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, sex, age, disability or national origin in the workplace or any public accommodations by submitting recommendations to the office of the governor and the Louisiana legislature.

According to the statute, the commission is comprised of seven members appointed from each congressional district and two members appointed from the state at large. Additionally, the governor will appoint a chairman of the commission from the appointed members. All nine gubernatorial appointments are subject to Senate confirmation.

Terrence Ginn, of Baton Rouge, is the Associate Commissioner of Finance & Administration at the Board of Regents. Ginn will be appointed to serve as a representative of the sixth congressional district, as required by statute.
